Caitlyn Jenner has issued an apology for comments she made in an interview with Time magazine, published on Dec. 9, where she said: "If you look like a man in a dress, it makes people uncomfortable."
In a thoughtful blog post on her website entitled "Still So Much To Learn," the 66-year-old admitted that there are still things that she has yet to get right because she's still learning about the issues at hand.
"Sometimes this is because something that is true for me isn't true for other people in our community. And sometimes I've said things that just come out the wrong way," she wrote.
Jenner then went on to apologize to people who were hurt by her comments, explaining that she thinks that "the world is still a binary one."
"People who look 'visibly transgender' sometimes can struggle for acceptance and may be treated poorly by others. And while this may be true, it's also something that needs to change," she wrote.
Jenner received negative responses for comments she made in an interview with Time for their annual Person of the Year feature, with many finding her comments narrow and gender-normative, according to the Daily Mail.
The reality TV star concluded her blog post by promising that she will keep learning and be more articulate in the future.
