Conrad Murray was released from jail during the early hours of Monday morning after serving two years for the death of Michael Jackson. Reportedly while in jail Murray kept himself busy by writing a large portion of a book about his life and working with the King of Pop, TMZ reports.
Sources told the website that Murray is interested in getting a book deal and possibly a reality TV show. Reportedly a large section of the Jackson story blames others for the singer's death and defends his actions that ultimately killed the singer and left Murray in jail.
The book does not have a publisher yet. As for the reality show, if picked it up the show will most likely follow Murray as he tries to readjust to life outside of jail. The former doctor has also been busy trying to get his license back, Radar Online reports.
According to the website, on the eve of his release from jail Murray applied to have his medical license reinstated. He filed a civil petition in Travis County, Texas requesting that a civil court judge stop the state's medical board's cancelation of his license because his case is currently being appealed in California.
Texas was the first state to revoke Murray's license because of his felony conviction in California. He had a clinic serving low-income patients in the state before his 2011 conviction.
"Dr. Murray has an unquenchable desire to help people, and no matter where it is, he will return to his given profession of healing," Charles Peckham, his Texas attorney told The New York Daily News. "The truth is that a man like Dr. Murray who's dedicated his life to helping people will find a place to do it. If it's in Texas or the U.S. or we don't know where, you can be sure he will find a place to help people."
Murray will most likely have to fight in order to get his license back. According to Radar the Los Angeles District Attorney's office has already said they will do everything they can to stop Murray from getting his a medical license in Texas or anywhere else in the country.
