In Tuesday's episode of TLC's reality series "Kate Plus 8," the Gosselin family's summer vacation came to an end, but mom Kate planned a jam-packed, fun-filled schedule for her kids' last days in Florida. In an attempt to cater to each of her eight children, Kate scheduled a professional sand castle-building lesson, tie-dye party, a deep sea fishing excursion and trips to a water park and Gator Beach.
Kate arranged for the kids to have professional sand caste artists help them create their own competition-worthy masterpieces. The kids worked in teams and were able to build intricate sand sculptures.
Keeping with tradition, Kate arranged a messy art project for the kids to do, and followed up last year's painting party with a tie-dye party. Each kid had a white T-shirt that they tied up and dyed themselves. Kate even joined in on the activity, but didn't follow the directions and her shirt was the worst of the bunch!
Next up on the agenda was a deep sea fishing excursion, which was something Kate really enjoys but doesn't get to do very often because her children are prone to getting seasick. But Kate allowed the kids to vote on whether they would like to tag along with her or stay back at home, where they would have to clean up their rental home. Kate's oldest daughters, teenage twins Mady and Cara stood back with their friend Marley and 11-year-old sextuplet Hannah. The other five sextuplets, Leah, Alexis, Collin, Aaden and Joel, all decided to brave the sea and accompany their mom on the trip.
The first half of the fishing trip went off without a hitch, but after only catching one fish, the captain decided to sail the boat 20 minutes further away from land. That's when two of the kids became seasick and the trip was cut short.
Back at home, the teens and Hannah prepared a lasagna dinner for the family, which really excited Kate. "How nice it was after a long day of fishing and have dinner on the table for me," Kate said in her on-camera interview. "I am so spoiled."
She then treated the kids to a day at the water park, something they've never done because of Kate's fear of germs. They had a blast and she even braved her germaphobia to join her kids in the lazy river. When Kate was separated from the rest of the kids during a high-traffic bend, her son Collin grabbed her and acted as a motor to catch her up with the rest of the clan.
The last outing was specifically for sextuplet Alexis, who has a fondness for alligators. The whole family took a trip to Gator Beach and Alexis was chosen as a volunteer to pet and hold a baby alligator, which was the highlight of her trip. The next day, the Gosselins packed up and headed back home to Pennsylvania.
