Angela Unkrich and her husband, actor Alfonso Ribeiro, welcomed their first child together over the weekend. Ribeiro, best known for his role as Carlton Banks on the "Fresh Prince of Bel-Air," announced the news on Twitter.
The 42-year-old actor already has an 11-year-old daughter named Sienna from a previous marriage to Robin Stapler. The couple, who married in Oct. 2012, announced they were expecting a child in May via Twitter.
"Coming this fall, a baby Alfonso or a baby Angela!" Ribeiro wrote on Twitter posting baby pictures of himself and his wife.
The two decided to keep the baby's gender a secret until the birth, People magazine reports.
"We still don't know the gender as we decided to hold out and be surprised," the actor said. "One thing we know is that it's a very active baby. He or she has been kicking and punching around the clock. It never gets old to see the little feet imprinted on the belly during the kicking episodes."
The actor's rep confirmed to US Weekly that Ribeiro's wife had given birth to a boy named Alfonso Lincoln Ribeiro Jr. Sunday, Oct. 27.
"They are all healthy, happy, and exhausted," his rep said adding that the baby weighed 7 pounds, ten ounces and was 21.5 inches long.
Two weeks before giving birth Ribeiro and Unkrich celebrated their first wedding anniversary. The couple tied the knot in a Los Angeles ceremony with former co-star Will Smith as a groomsmen, along with singer Joey Fatone and baseball player David Justice.
"Last night I got married to the most incredible woman in the world,' Ribeiro tweeted last year.
"1st morning waking up as Mrs. Ribeiro =AMAZING!! So happy and blessed!" his wife tweeted at the time.
