Dee Anderson: Ethan Couch And Mother Have Fled City, Maybe Country (VIDEO,TWEETS)

A manhunt is on for Ethan Couch and his mother, Tonya Couch, after they appear to have fled after the "affluenza" teen violated his probation, said Tarrent County Sheriff Dee Anderson, according to AP. A video surfaced showing the 18-year-old seemingly consuming alcohol, which is a probation violation, and could lead to 10 years in prison.

There is a warrant out for his arrest, with a "directive to apprehend," issued Dec. 11, and the U.S. Marshals Service released a wanted poster for him on Friday, offering $5,000 in return for information on his whereabouts, according to ABC News. Hundreds of leads have poured in, Anderson said on Monday, but there has not been any concrete evidence as to his location.

"It really doesn't matter if he flees the country," said Richard Taylor, the acting United States Marshal for the northern district of Texas. "We're going to find him and we'll make every effort to get that person back," according to NBC News. While it is suspected Tonya Couch is helping her son flee, there is nothing to prove that claim, so she has been declared as a missing person," Anderson said. The Tarrent County Sheriff's Office released a photo of her pickup truck, hoping the public will help to try to recognize or locate it.

Ethan Couch was arrested in 2013 for the killing of four people and convicted with four counts of intoxication manslaughter. He was not sentenced to any jail time, but was given 10 years probation because he was diagnosed with "affluenza," which is a non-medically recognized term, meaning the person is so affluent, they grew up not having to deal with any consequences for negative actions, and so do not have a firm grasp of what is acceptable or unacceptable.

If anyone has any information regarding his whereabouts, they are asked to contact authorities.
