John Legend is good at planning surprises. After planning his pregnant wife Chrissy Teigen's surprise 30th birthday bash last month, as previously reported by HNGN, the R&B singer surprised the Sports Illustrated model and "FabLife" co-host with a cheesy, early Christmas present. Teigen uploaded a photo of her hubby holding her "dream" present on Instagram.
In the shot, the chef and cookbook author wore a comfortable, long black floral-printed kimono and her hair was styled in a tight top-knot. She put her hand around Legend's neck, planting a kiss on his cheek as he held a large wheel of cheese.
"John got me my lifetime dream for Christmas! A cheese wheel to dump pasta and risotto in for years to come! My tableside serving game is bout to be liiiiiit! Heading out to relax with the fam now woohoo!" Teigen wrote on Instagram.
She followed up the post with a shot of a chef dumping pasta into a cheese wheel similar to the one Legend bought for her and explained why she was so excited about her present.
"If you haven't seen one of these wheels in action oh man, it is a thing a beauty. Hot pasta is tossed around, gently melting the cheese and plated right at your table. It makes me emotional," the model-turned-celebrity chef wrote in her second caption.
Teigen's first cookbook, "Craving," is set for a Feb. 23 release, as previously reported by HNGN. The highly-anticipated book tops Amazon's presale list.
