’50 Shades of Grey’ Movie Cast News: Casting Call Goes Out for Extras, Stand-Ins for Lead Actors for Upcoming Shoot in Vancouver

Another casting call has been released for the movie "Fifty Shades of Grey" but this time it's for extras and background actors. According to Huffington Post Canada, between Dec. 2 and Feb. 24, 2014 the movie is seeking to fill background spots and stand-ins for the upcoming shoot in Vancouver.

The casting call was placed on acting-auditions.org. It was already announced that filming for the movie would begin at the beginning of December after being pushed back nearly a month. Production was originally supposed to start in November but was halted after Charlie Hunnam abruptly backed out of playing the lead role of Christian Grey.

Universal Pictures and Focus Features released a statement citing his busy TV schedule as the reason for the split but there have been several rumors that suggest otherwise. Almost two weeks after Hunnam's departure the studios announced that "Once Upon a Time" actor Jamie Dornan was the replacement as the kinky billionaire. Dornan will star opposite Dakota Johnson, who was cast as Anastasia Steele.

According to the casting call the movie is expected to finish shooting mid-February which will hopefully give them enough time to edit, market and promote the movie for the August release date. The casting call also says that the studios will be using the fake production name "The Adventures of Max & Banks" and will film the interior scenes for the movie at the North Shore studio. The outdoor scenes will be shot in different areas in and around Vancouver.

Besides extras the movie is reportedly also looking for film crew members and stand-ins for the lead actors. The casting process for extras and background is reportedly being handled by casting director Andrea Brown, who has worked on other films such as "Twilight" and "Rise of the Planet of the Apes."
