Scorchers lost their first BBL match against Adelaide Strikers by four-wickets on Monday. The reigning Big Bash League champions will also have to play remaining tournament matches without star players Shaun Marsh, Mitch Marsh and skipper Adam Voges. Michael Klinger will be stand-in Perth Scorchers skipper in the absence of Voges.

"What you don't want to do in T20 cricket is put too much pressure on yourself. You've got to go out and play instinctively and play your natural game. You can't go out thinking I want to bat the 20 overs or 18 overs, because you're not going to score at a good enough rate. We'll have some young guys coming in who have played a fair bit for the Scorchers over the last couple of years," Klinger said Thursday, according to Australian Associated Press.

Heat, who opened their BBL campaign with two consecutive defeats, now aiming for a turnaround. They lost their first match of the tournament against Melbourne Renegades by seven wickets. Hobart Hurricanes registered a comfortable 20-run win over Heat in the seventh T20 league match on Tuesday, according to Express Tribune.
