Courtney Stodden and Doug Hutchison Ending Their Controversial 2-Year Marriage (PHOTOS)

Two years after the highly controversial marriage of then 16-year-old Courtney Stodden and 51-year-old actor Doug Hutchison, the two have called it quits, the Daily Mail reports.

Sources claim that Stodden, who is now 19, made the decision to end the marriage, which has left Hutchison "heartbroken," just two months after she finished her appearance on "Celebrity Big Brother UK." The show was allegedly "the beginning of the end" for the couple.

"Courtney has changed so much since being in that house. She is more independent and just wants to have fun like any 19 year old," an insider told the Daily Mail.

On "Celebrity Big Brother," Stodden spent time flirting with someone closer to her own age, 25-year-old Mario Falcone. Cameras caught them caressing each other's hands during a challenge in which they were tied together.

Photos from Stodden's recent Halloween party at their rented Hollywood Hills home, in which she wore a red bra and lace panties along with devil horns and a tail, show Hutchison nowhere in sight.

Back in August, Hutchison was allegedly worried that his younger wife might become more independent and decide to leave him.

Stodden and Hutchison originally met through an online acting workshop that he taught, and the two fell in love over the course of four to six months of back-and-forth communication. Hutchison claims that at the time, he didn't know that Stodden was only 16. Stodden's mother Krista monitored their online exchanges and consented to their marriage, which shocked the nation and Hutchison's family, including many who have have disowned him for his decision and labeled him a "pedophile" and a "pervert."

The famous couple have appeared in numerous tabloids and on VH1's "Couples Therapy," where Stodden's skimpy outfits and flirtatious behavior with other male participants was considered a major distraction.
