One "Star Wars" fan has created his own lightsaber that has the ability to cut through objects and even light them on fire. Drake Anthony (AKA Styropyro) used a seven-watt, blue laser in his homemade device, according to Mashable.
The lightsaber also has high-efficiency buck drivers, anti-reflective coated glass lens, which focuses the beam and it gets its energy from two 18650 batteries. "With the amazing Li-Ion batteries that the scientists/engineers have developed, stupidly powerful handheld lasers can be built, just like this one here," he wrote on his video post.
The device was an upgrade of Drake's 3W handheld lightsaber, according to Digital Trends.
It could also leave you blind if misused, Digital Trends reports.
In his YouTube video, Styropyro demonstrates the weapon by cutting through a paper cup, lighting tape on fire, engraving wood and even cuts through wire. He said he plans to create a laser bazooka for one of his future projects, in his YouTube Video.
