A pair of divers with conservationist group Project Seahorse captured rare footage in November of a male seahorse giving birth, according to Wimp, and the footage is breathtaking. While diving off the coast of eastern Australia, the lucky pair spotted a White's seahorse in labor. Whipping out their GoPro camera, the entire event is caught on video and shared with the rest of us.

Seeing the seahorse in its natural setting is something that doesn't come along often. They are such magical creatures that seem to have taken parts from all the other offbeat animals in the world, says Save Our Seahorses. They have the head of a horse, the eyes of a chameleon, pouch of a kangaroo, snout like an aardvark and the tail of a monkey.
But the sad truth is due to habitat destruction, getting caught in commercial shrimp trawling nets and the Chinese medicinal trade, tens of million sea horses die each year. There are 39 species of endangered seahorses on the IUCN Red list, says White Wolf Pack.
But one birth sends a glimmer of hope.
