NCIS Season 11 Episode 7 Spoilers: Gibbs Takes A Trip Down Memory Lane with His Father; McGee and DiNozzo Fight for Control of the Team

Get ready for a trip down memory lane on tonight’s episode of “NCIS”.

According to the preview from the episode, Gibbs’ (Mark Harmon) father Jackson (Ralph Waite) asks his son to come on a roadtrip with him to visit an old friend from war. However, things become interesting as Gibbs’ soon realizes Jackson is lying about something important from his past and he may be in danger.

“It’s really emotional and based on some real historical storytelling that we came across, and it has some terrific flashbacks to young Jackson Gibbs (played by Andrew Lander),” showrunner Gary Glasberg said in a recent interview with TVLine. “Ralph Waite did an amazing job — he brings it every single time and continues to blow me away.”

Glasberg also previewed what fans can expect to see from McGee and Tony tonight and as you can guess, it’s hilarious. According to TVLine, Gibbs’ two agents will fight for control of the team with their boss off taking care of family business. Glasberg tells the website, “The Tony/McGee stuff is fun, with the two of them bickering like brothers.”

A lot of buzz was generated yesterday in the TV world after it was announced Emily Wickersham, who is slated to play NSA Analyst Eleanor “Elle” Bishop (Ziva’s replacement), was promoted to a series regular. According to a press release on CBS.com, Elle will make her debut on Nov. 19. During the episode it will be discovered that Secretary of the Navy Sarah Porter (Leslie Hope) was bugged while in a confidential briefing. Apparently, Elle outlined the security breach two years ago exactly as it happened. She will team up with Gibbs’ and the gang to figure out who the culprit is.
