DC's "Legends of Tomorrow" will feature time travel, which opens up the door for a flood of interesting creative possibilities. One such possibility is featuring a character from the "Arrow"-verse's future.
Jewel Staite will guest star as Rachel Turner on "Legends of Tomorrow," TV Line reported. Her character is described as a "tech genius/roboticist who exists in a future in which technology has an even firmer grip on our lives than it does today." Turner is scheduled to debut in the show's 10th episode and will be yet another in a growing list of descendants of a DC Comics character. Turner "believes that her creations can make the world a better place," but that her inventions are unfortunately "destined" to be mis-used by "Legends" Big Bad Vandall Savage.
It is unknown which character Turner is related to, though there have been a handful of tech geniuses in both "Arrow" and "The Flash." Hopefully, that news will become available soon.
Staite is perhaps best known for playing Kaylee Frye on Joss Whedon's "Firefly" and its feature film follow up "Serenity." She most recently appeared in "Stargate Atlantis" and "The Killing."
"Legends of Tomorrow" will premiere on The CW on Thursday, Jan 21.
