Eitam Lachover, an Israeli reporter for the state broadcaster is one brave man. He donned a "stab proof" best for a recent demonstration on the efficiency of the vest and other stab proof clothing and volunteered to be stabbed, according to the Metro. But when the vest failed, Lachover was actually injured, requiring a trip to the hospital.
"You're going to stab me with this?" asked Lachover when the company's vice president, Yaniv Montakyo showed Lachover the knife, according to Yahoo.
"You have nothing to worry about," replied Montakyo. "We are very confident in our product."
"This product can protect from knives that are stronger than this one. Don't be afraid. If something happens, I'm here," added Montakyo, before he stabbed Lachover.
While the protective vest did take some of the brunt Lachover suffered, it did not take enought of it. An embarrassed Montakyo treated the wounds and sent Lachover to the hospital for stitches, according to the Jerusalem Post.
"Superficial stab wounds, had some stitches and was released back home. Many thanks to everyone for your concern!" said Lachover.
