With attractive looks, a number of unique features and a competitive hybrid fuel system, Chrysler's 2017 iteration of its popular Pacifica line seems intent on making waves in the automotive market. Simply dubbed the Pacifica Hybrid, Chrysler stated that the company's first-ever minivan is capable of getting an extremely green 80 miles per gallon, with 30 miles of full electric charge, according to Autoblog.
Timothy Kuniskis, Head of Passenger Car Brands, FCA-North America, said that despite the minivan being a hybrid, it remains a no-compromises vehicle that is designed to give customers exactly what they need and what they want.
"The all-new Chrysler Pacifica was thoughtfully designed and engineered to provide unsurpassed levels of comfort, convenience, technology and functionality, making it the perfect combination for modern families," said Kuniskis, according to Ecumenical News.
The Pacifica Hybrid utilizes a variation of the 3.6-liter Pentastar V6, which is matched with an electric motor. The vehicle's battery, a 16-kWh lithium-ion battery is also installed. Chrysler said the vehicle would take about two hours to recharge using a standard 240-volt charging station.
Chrysler further stated the company estimates that the cars power train output to be about 248 horsepower, just below the 287 horsepower produced by the non-hybrid version of the minivan, reported the Christian Science Monitor.
The Pacifica Hybrid is set to arrive in Chrysler showrooms across the country by the second half of the year.
