Jimmy Fallon brought back his musical impression of Bob Dylan last night on "The Tonight Show" by croaking through a cover of Drake's 2015 smash hit "Hotline Bling." While wearing a wide-brimmed hat and playing the harmonica, the clip was filmed to look like it was straight out of the 1960s thanks to a grainy filter. The late night host's vocal impression of rock icon Dylan was spot on as he delivered Drake's song about modern heartbreak.
After the performance, Fallon tweeted about all the hard work and effort that went into making the bit.
"Our performance tonight was LIVE. For real - this was live. Hope you like it. #DylanSingsDrake," wrote Fallon on Twitter.
"Wardrobe, hair and make-up plus writing and directing equals #dylansingsdrake #fallontonight," he continued.
This was not Fallon's first time doing his Dylan impression while singing a modern song. He sang as Dylan for a cover of the "Charles in Charge" theme song for his 2012 album "Blow Your Pants Off," during his tenure as the host of "Late Night," according to the New York Daily News. Dylan is just one of the many rock musician impressions that Fallon is capable of. He has also memorably sang songs as Neil Young, Bruce Springsteen and the late David Bowie.
