'90s alt-rock band Weezer announced the title and release date for their upcoming 10th studio album, along with a set of summer U.S. tour dates, Pitchfork reported. The California rockers will co-headline its upcoming tour with pop-rock band Panic! At The Disco, which just released its fifth studio album "Death of a Bachelor" this week.
Fans speculated that the name of Weezer's upcoming album will be "The White Album" after group members updated their social media accounts with all-white avatars, in theme with the band's previous releases "Blue Album," "Green Album" and "Red Album." The speculation was proven right, and the band's "White Album" is set for an April 1 release.
Panic! At The Disco celebrated the release of their album this week, and "Death of a Bachelor" earned a three-star review in Rolling Stone and features the singles "Victorious," "Hallelujah" and "Emperor's New Clothes."
Both bands are set to kick off their upcoming tour on June 10 at the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion in The Woodlands, Texas, and the tour will wrap up on Aug. 6 in Irvine, Calif., at the Irvine Meadows Amphitheatre, Alternative Press reported. Singer/songwriter Andrew McMahon is set to provide support with his solo project, "Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness."
Tickets will be available for pre-sale on Tuesday, Jan. 19, at 10 a.m. and general tickets will be available on Friday, Jan. 22, at 10 a.m., according to a post on Weezer's official Facebook page. Fans can purchase pre-sale tickets with a pre-sale code provided when they sign up for the Weezer mailing list.
