Wild card entrant and second finalist Priya Malik was evicted from ninth season of celebrity reality show "Bigg Boss" Saturday night, according to DNA India. Bollywood stars Akshay Kumar and Nirmat Kaur airlifted Malik from the house. The actors visited the show to promote their upcoming movie "Airlift."
Malik was one of the strong contenders to win the "Bigg Boss 9." Her surprise elimination comes a day after she was declared second finalist of the show.
The ninth season of controversial Indian show - "Bigg Boss Nau," or "Bigg Boss Double Trouble"- is hosted by Bollywood superstar Salman Khan. Khan on Saturday declared every housemate safe except Rochelle Rao and Priya Malik, The Times of India reported. It was speculated that Rao would leave the house, as Priya was named the second finalist of the season. However, her exit left Indian fans shocked.
The 28-year-old India-born Aussie comedian, a finalist in the Australian version of "Big Brother" in 2014, was the fourth wild card entrant of the show. Priya sparked an outrage on social media after she relieved herself in a bottle in front of her fellow housemates live on the show.
The controversy queen's exit leaves the top five contestants Prince Narula, Rishabh Sinha, Keith Sequeira, Rochelle Rao and Mandana Karimi in the house, according to India Today.
