In a massive blow to the Renegades, fast bowler James Pattinson has been ruled out from Monday's must-win match against the Strikers due to an injury.
"The decision to stand him down from Renegades duty for Monday's game was taken by Cricket Australia's medical staff in consultation with the Renegades and is felt to be a prudent approach to the ongoing management of his shin," Cricket Australia said in a statement, according to Cricket.com.au.
The Renegades need to win Monday's game against the table topper Strikers comprehensively in order to book their place in final four.
"We're the last game of the tournament, so I guess that's a good thing. We'll know exactly what we have to do to qualify. Our destiny is in our own hands," Renegade skipper Cameron White said, according to 7News.
