"Minecraft: Story Mode" was made available in October 2015 across several gaming platforms. Wii U users, however, have been missing all the fun, as it was not included in the roster of consoles that could play all five episodes developed so far. This will change, however, by Jan. 21, when all episodes after "Episode 1: The Order of the Stone" will be available for Wii users, Nintendo announced, according to Engadget. The first episode will be playable at launch while succeeding installments will follow at later dates.
The "Minecraft: Story Mode" is developed by Telltale Games, the indie game company behind "The Walking Dead" and "Game of Thrones" titles. It is an episodic game, with an ongoing narrative that is centered on the character Jesse. He must embark on a quest, along with the Order of the Stone members, to defeat Witherstorm. The gameplay follows a point-and-click interface as the player collects items, solve puzzles, interacts with other characters and navigates the Minecraft world.

"Working with Nintendo, we're tremendously excited to be bringing our unique style of storytelling to Wii U for the first time, and we couldn't be happier to be kicking things off with a series like 'Minecraft: Story Mode' that allows players of all ages to craft their own adventure across the Minecraft universe." Kevin Bruner, CEO and Co-Founder of Telltale Games, said in an official statement.
All of Story Mode's five episodes will be available at the eShop. Each will cost $5, or players can opt to buy the $20 Season Pass, which will unlock all current Story Mode contents, Gamespot reported.
