Bangladesh, which is leading the four-match T20 series, 1-0, is now looking to extend its lead over the struggling Zimbabwean side. In a massive blow to Bangladesh, batsman Mushfiqur Rahim and pacer Mustafizur Rahman have been ruled out of Wednesday's game due to injuries.
"Mushfiqur will undergo a scan in Dhaka on Monday. Generally it takes around two to three weeks to recover from such injuries. However, we will be able to assess his condition better after receiving the scan report," team physio Bayjedul Islam Khan said, according to the Daily Star.
Bangladesh leads the four match series 2-0, and it is now looking to seal the series on Wednesday. The Zimbabwean side, on the other hand, is eyeing a comeback win on Wednesday.
"My players play well, to be honest, but the trouble is we are not being able to put up partnerships. It is hard to make your team reach the ambition when the combination goes wrong. At the moment we are trying to shuffle and try different things to find out the best," Zimbabwe's coach Dav Whatmore said, according to the Dhaka Tribune.
