Forecasters are warning of a rough East Coast snowstorm that will affect roughly 50 million people, according to Yahoo News. The erratic weather is predicted to occur sometime this weekend, and cities like Boston, New York City, Philadelphia and Washington, D.C., are all under watch, as weather experts expect cities to be getting anywhere from 6 inches to several feet of snow.

A weather disaster for an entire coast could mean outages, closed roads, downed transportation efforts and even beach erosion and coastal flooding for Long Island, New England and New Jersey, according to AZ Central. Winds at 35 mph and low visibility are also on the forecast. Another troubling bit of information is the fact that researchers are so confident this extreme storm will be occurring, especially so far out from the actual event, according to CBS Local-Boston.
New York City, New Jersey and Long Island are estimated to get about 6 inches to a foot of snow by Saturday, and Boston could see a foot of snow by Saturday as well, but is least likely to be affected in a major way. But Washington, D.C., may get the worst of it, with a 50 percent chance of double-digit snowfall in inches.
People took to Twitter with their frustrations.
.@JetBlue when will you start allowing people to change their flight plans in advance of this snow storm projected to hit the northeast?!? — Mr. Gator (@NickGator) January 19, 2016
