Set to join the sprawling cast of season 4 on HBO's hit series "Game of Thrones" is 10-year-old British actress Octavia Alexandru, her role on the show recently revealed via her modeling CV, WinterIsComing.net reports.
If you have the the fifth book in the "A Song of Ice and Fire" series by George R. R. Martin, "A Dance With Dragons," you may not want to read further, as details of Alexandru's role are considered spoiler-worthy.
Alexandru's résumé lists her role on "Game of Thrones" as the Child of the Forest, as many fans speculated she would play when her casting for the fourth season was first announced. Legendary people of Westeros that appear childlike but are quite old, the recent casting as the Three-Eyed Raven for next year makes sense if Alexandru is set to play Leaf or a version of the character adapted for the show. The young model and actresses's background in dance will also likely "lend itself well to creative body language for the forest creature," according to WinterIsComing.net.
News of Alexandru's casting has been met with generally positive reception from fans of the book and television series.
In other "Game of Thrones" news, the box set of season 3 will, according to USA Today, include a bonus feature clip called "The Rains of Castamere Unveiled" in which the cast and director of the Red Wedding talk about filming the shocking, bloody sequence, as well as a 14-minute recap of the second season, a "Wildlings" featurette, deleted and extended scenes, twelve cast and crew audio commentaries, among other exciting bonus features. The Blu-Ray release of the box set will include the aforementioned as well as additional bonus material.
