Sofia Vergara is suing a beauty company for alleedly using her image to promote its products – and she's also demanding at least $15 million from them as compensation.
On Monday, Vergara filed the lawsuit against Venus Concept before the Los Angeles Superior Court.
The "Modern Family" actress claims the beauty company had been using her name, photograph, likeness and persona to promote their numerous products and services around the world, according to The Wrap.
In the lawsuit, Vergara says it all began when she posted – on Instagram – a photo of herself getting the beauty company's Legacy treatment, which is a skin-tightening massage in August of 2014.
However, the actress remarked that she didn't like the treatment and thought that it was "a waste of time and money with little in the way of any results," according to TMZ
Vergara has apparently been in battle against Venus Concept for almost a year. She is already an endorser of Cover Girl, Head & Shoulders and Rooms 2 Go.
Sofía personally prides herself on believing in what she sells and she talks about it genuinely," a source said, according to Us Weekly. "For someone to just slap her face and image on something that she doesn't even like, she just feels like she's cheating her fans."
