Miley Cyrus has been cast in Woody Allen's new Amazon TV series alongside Elaine May.
Cyrus confirmed the news through a passionate Instagram post on Monday. "F--k yeah! Stoked to be in Woody Allen's first series!!!!!" the "Wrecking Ball" singer captioned a photo featuring a painting of the 80-year-old Oscar-winning filmmaker.
"I had claimed 2016 to be my year of 'chillin the f--k out' but next to my bed for a few years now has been this portrait of W.A.," she added. "I was looking into his eyes when I got the call to be apart of the cast and work alongside the bad a$ Elaine May & da dude himself!"
The untitled project will have six half-hour episodes and has already been picked up for a full season. Allen, who has written and directed the series, will also be seen in an acting capacity, as HNGN previously reported.
Cyrus isn't new to acting, having starred in Disney's "Hannah Montana" between 2006 and 2011. The 23-year-old also recently appeared in Netflix's "A Very Murray Christmas" and the Christmas comedy "The Night Before," according to The Wrap.
