If you're a '90s kid, then you absolutely remember Loonette the Clown, her doll Molly, her big comfy couch, and all the bizarre things she would do. But ever since "The Big Comfy Couch" ended in the 2000's, people have been wondering what happened to the red-nosed, pig-tailed clown that used to do clock stretches.
Actress Alyson Court played the original and beloved Loonette from 1992 to 2002 before the role was taken over by Ramona Filmour-Darling, according to The Huffington Post. Darling then played the clown until the series ended four years later in 2006.
Ever since Court's role as Loonette ended, she's taken on a number of voiceover roles and even some on-screen ones, even though many might not have recognized her without her signature purple beanie, red overalls and striped tights. She was the voice of Lydia Deetz on the animated TV show "Beetlejuice" from 1989 to 1991, and then a year later, she was also the voice of Jubilee/Jubilation Lee in the "X-Men" series, according to MTV. Court also played Priscilla Presley in the mockumentary "Elvis Meets Nixon" and was the voice of Queen Martha in the U.S. edition of Nick Jr.'s "Mike the Knight." She was also the voice of Claire Redfield in several of the popular "Resident Evil" video games.
As of recently, the gorgeous 41-year-old actress has been keeping herself busy as a voice director and a writer/producer, according to her LinkedIn page. She's also been keeping fans updated on her looks, and the fact that she's still very interested in her character, on her Twitter account.
Back in June, she posted a photo of herself recording a voiceover wearing her iconic red nose. "By the pricking of my nose," she wrote. "Something clownish this way blows...#MollysBigDay #BCC."
She also dressed up as a pretty frightening and bloody version of Loonette for Halloween back in 2014. "Went a bit more zombie for tonight," she wrote. "#DanglingFreckle." Her son, Blaede, even dressed as a scary version of Molly the dolly to go along with it.
