If you thought all-day breakfast was awesome, wait until you see what McDonald's has in store.
Some fan-favorites were left off of the McDonald's all-day menu, but that may no longer be the case. The fast-food chain is testing out the McGriddle on the all-day menu in a select few locations, TIME reported.
The trial run begins on Feb. 1 in 72 McDonald's locations, all of which are in Tulsa, Okla.
Many were outraged that the company had left the item off the menu when they first announced all-day breakfast in October, according to The Chicago Tribune. The McGriddle, which consist of eggs, bacon, sausage and cheese inside two pancakes, is one of the menu's best sellers.
"This is a customer-led initiative. Once we launched all-day breakfast, we've heard from our customers that they would love McGriddles," company spokeswoman Lisa McComb said.
Since announcing all-day breakfast, stores across the country have shown higher sales. The McDonald's in Oak Brook, Ill., saw sales rise 5.7 percent in the last three months.
The test is expected to last between two and three months, and many believe that this will not be the last addition to the menu, The Seattle Times reported. The original, simplified menu isn't going to hold customers over for long. And if the company wants to see its sales continue to rise, it'll need to continue coming up with innovative ways to make it happen.
