The first and inaugural One Day International of a three-match One Day International (ODI) series between host New Zealand and Australia will be played at Eden Park, Auckland, on Friday.

The Black Caps are looking to maintain their terrific winning run in the short format of cricket. New Zealand won the three-match ODI series against Pakistan, 2-0, according to the New Zealand Herald.
"New Zealand has some very good swing bowlers. Trent Boult is number one in the world at the moment, he's in great form and hopefully we'll be able to counteract whatever he brings at us," Aussie skipper Steve Smith said, according to Sportal.
New Zealand is hosting Australia for three-match ODI series and two Test series from Feb. 3 to Feb. 24. Both sides are willing to utilise the ODI series as a preparation for upcoming Twenty20 (T20) World Cup.
