'Crackhead Bob,' Recurring 'Howard Stern Show' Guest, Dead At 56

George Harvey, better known as "Crackhead Bob" on "The Howard Stern Show," has died at the age of 56. Stern revealed the news on his radio show Monday morning that the Wack Pack member was discovered dead by his father in his home in Texas. A cause of death has yet to be determined, according to TMZ.

"Crackhead Bob" served as a regular guest on the show from 1995 to 2001. He then took a four-year break from the show for health reasons and, eventually, returned in 2005. He got the gig on the show after he was discovered by Stern's crew at the host's appearances in the '90s.

"He was a huge champion of our show," said Stern, according to Us Weekly.

The Wack Pack is a group of guests who have something unique and unusual about themselves. Harvey got the nickname "Crackhead Bob" after he revealed that he used to smoke crack, which lead to him getting strokes that resulted in half of his body being paralyzed and his speech being affected, according to the New York Daily News.
