Puddle of Mudd frontman Wes Scantlin walked off in the middle of a concert over the weekend after going on a paranoid rant directed toward a member of the audience, Blabbermouth reported. The lead singer berated the fan in an expletive-filled rant before putting his jacket on and storming off the stage at The Adelphia Music Hall in Marietta, Ohio, on Saturday.
"Keep your god damn money, f--k it. This motherf--ker right here stole my motherf--king house," the 43-year-old rocker said and pointed to someone in the crowd, according to fan-shot footage from the concert. "And he's standing right f--king in front of me, laughing at me and he's f--king thinking I'm a f--king joke. This motherf--ker right here, get his a-- on camera. This is the dog right here, this is the mother f--ker right here. This guy stole my house."
Scantlin dropped the mic then exchanged words with the fan, pacing across the stage and addressing his band mates before walking off. The venue posted a message apologizing to fans for Scantlin's behavior on its Facebook page.
"Thank you everyone who attended tonight's show! We apologize for the actions of the lead singer. Unfortunately it was beyond our control! Please send us a PM and we will issue you a ticket to the next show of your choice!" the Facebook post read.
The news comes just two weeks after Scantlin was arrested for smashing a window and destroying electronics, surveillance cameras and an alarm system inside his former Hollywood Hills home which he lost due to foreclosure last year, TMZ reported. Scantlin was charged with vandalism and trespassing.
