The Good Wife Season 5 Spoilers: Elsbeth is Coming Back!!; Can Will Forgive Alicia?

For all you Elsbeth (Carrie Preston) fans out there, she’s coming back!

In a recent interview with TVLine.com, Carrie Preston said she plans to appear on “The Good Wife” in the future.

“I got permission from HBO to do one last [episode] before I go back to work [on True Blood],” Preston told TVLine. “It’s not that they don’t want to support me; it’s just a contractual thing.” (Preston plays Arlene Fowler on "True Blood")

Preston also made comments about the possibility her character could be in the middle of the Lockhart & Gardner (or LG) and Florrick & Agos battle.

“That would be tough for her,” Preston admitted to the website.

“I think she can play both sides of things,” she added. “Wherever she’s needed, that’s where she wants to be!”

Is it possible Elsbeth could come back in the 100th Episode? Her appearance would make an episode that was already going to be intense, even better.

For the most part LG vs. Florrick & Agos, has been Will vs. Alicia. If you’re wondering if they’re ever going to be at least friend-ish again—it’s a possibility.

“I think he can one day,” Josh Charles, who plays Will Gardner, said in a recent interview with TVGuide.com when asked if his character will ever show forgiveness to his former love interest. “He's a smart person and understands these things happen in business. He may one day be able to see it for what it is. Perhaps, he would have made the same move if the shoe was on the other foot.”

However, Charles said Will isn’t “anywhere near” forgiving Alicia yet.
