Buffalo Bills running back LeSean McCoy may soon be facing charges and, further, arrest as a result of the assault of two off-duty Philadelphia police officers, an incident which McCoy is believed to have taken part in. According to Mark Schwarz of ESPN, arrest warrants are "expected to be issued in the coming days."
UPDATE, 2:25 p.m.: Howard Eskin reports that McCoy will likely have a warrant for his arrest issued on Wednesday.
McCoy, former NFL running back Curtis Brinkley and two other men - allegedly both with ties to the NFL - are believed to have gotten into an altercation with two off-duty police officers at around 2:45 a.m. Sunday inside a nightclub called Recess in the Old City area of Philadelphia. The fight began when one of the officers attempted to walk away with a bottle of champagne, only to be accosted by former University of Pittsburgh football player Tamarcus Porter. Porter approached the man, indicating that the bottle belonged to him.
When the officer balked, Porter, Brinkley, McCoy and another man are said to have knocked him to the ground and "punched, kicked and stomped about his body and head multiple times."
At some point the other officer became involved and both parties were eventually removed from the premises by staff.

Both officers were hospitalized.
The Bills released a statement Monday indicating that they were aware of the alleged incident. McCoy's agent, Drew Rosenhaus, has thus far refused comment.
