For Kali, a 3-year-old, 995-pound polar bear from the St. Louis Zoo in Missouri, a heart-shaped pink chunk of ice filled with mackerel, capelin and apples is the warmest Valentine's Day gift ever, according to Mashable.
After all, no bear could resist the allure of a huge block of ice filled with goodies.
The heart-shaped ice "cake" was given to Kali by the zoo's Nutrition Staff staff as a Valentine's Day present, and as it can be seen in this YouTube video, the young bear absolutely loves it. In the video, which has garnered quite a lot of likes in the zoo's Facebook page, Kali could be seen playing with the block of ice, trying to break it so he could get to its yummy, fish-filled center.
Kali's ice cake is no small block, either. At 202 pounds, Kali's Valentine's Day gift is just about as big as the young bear's heart.
The zoo did not stop there, however, as other lucky zoo animals also got a treat from the Nutrition Staff. Apart from Kali, other animals such as monkeys and lemurs also got heart-shaped boxes filled with treats, reported the Daily Mail.
Kali had been a resident of St. Louis Zoo since last year. prior to that, he was residing in a zoo in Buffalo after he was orphaned when a hunter accidentally killed his mother.
Watch Kali play with his gift in the video below.
