Google Mocks Microsoft’s Lack of Innovation in Wearable Tech

Google has come up with a smart response to Microsoft's persistent Scroogled campaign by mocking its less than successful attempts at wearable technology.

Google is taking a subtle swing at Microsoft's efforts to drive its customers from services like Gmail and Chrome to Outlook.com and Internet Explorer. Microsoft started its "Scroogled" marketing campaign to make people aware of Google's online data mining activities to boost its advertising revenues.

Microsoft took the swipe campaign a step further by selling "Scroogled" merchandise. But Google has responded to Microsoft's snippy marketing strategy with a sarcastic comment.

Google issued a statement on Thursday questioning Microsoft's innovative technology abilities. They have mocked at Microsoft's wearable technologies, which have received a very lukewarm response from consumers.

"Microsoft's latest venture comes as no surprise; competition in the wearables space really is heating up," Google responded to Microsoft with this sarcastic comment, LA Times reports.

Google is basically mocking at the software giant for having nothing but a few pieces of clothing in its "wearable" tech category, while the Internet giant proudly showcases its futuristic Google Glass.

That hurts!

In its defense, Microsoft is reportedly working on a smartwatch and some devices like the Glass. But the company has not leaked any information on its wearable gadgets yet. So this is a winning category for Google

This rivalry beteen the two tech giants is not new and we assume there is a lot more in store for all of us from both Google and Microsoft's end. Let's see how Microsoft responds following Google's comment.
