Eagles of Death Metal lead singer, Jesse Hughes, criticized France's strict gun control laws in an emotional interview after a deadly terrorist attack in November killed 89 people, including the band's merchandise manager, during the band's concert at the Bataclan theatre in Paris.
Three months after the devastating attacks, the group returned to the French capital to perform at the Olympia Hall on Tuesday, according to Billboard.
In an interview with the French channel iTELE, Hughes broke down as he recalled the events that unfolded on Nov. 13. Hughes, who has been open about his pro-gun stance, blamed France's gun control laws for the ISIS-orchestrated attacks.
"Did your French gun control stop a single f-----g person from dying at the Bataclan? And if anyone can answer yes, I'd like to hear it, because I don't think so. I think the only thing that stopped it was some of the bravest men that I've ever seen in my life charging headfirst into the face of death with their firearms," said Hughes, according to The Guardian.
"I hate it that it's that way," he continued. "I think the only way that my mind has been changed is that maybe that until nobody has guns, everybody has to have them."
"Because I've never seen anyone that's ever had one dead, and I want everyone to have access to them, and I saw people die that maybe could have lived, I don't know," Hughes added.
