The Marvel Cinematic Universe comprises both film and television, yet the two rarely cross over despite taking place in the same shared continuity. While all of the characters in "Agents of SHIELD" or "Daredevil" are aware of the Avengers and the Battle of New York and Sokovia, none of the characters ever really intermingle. However, with all MCU road signs pointing to the "Avengers: Infinity War" series, it's possible that some of the TV characters could join their big screen counterparts. At least, that is what "Jessica Jones" star Krysten Ritter is hoping for.
Speaking in an interview during Wizard World Portland, Ritter was asked if she would be interested in joining an MCU blockbuster.
"That's an interesting question because I love Jessica and I love any opportunity to play her," Ritter said via ComicBook.com. "Obviously, it'd be really exciting to be a part of those giant, huge movies with those great characters who are already established, so it'd be awesome...It'd be awesome if I got to pop up somewhere else. There's always the chance that could happen. I don't really know, they don't tell me anything, so I'm totally stoked about the playground on Netflix."
Both of Marvel's forays into Netflix, "Daredevil" and "Jessica Jones," have connected with fans and critics alike. It's no surprise that both series have received second season orders. Given Marvel's partnership with Sony surrounding the rights to Spider-Man, it seems possible that the small screen heroes could make the jump to the big screen if Marvel Studios wanted to go that route.
Directors Joe and Anthony Russo, who will be helming "Avengers: Infinity War," have revealed that as many as 60 characters could be featured in the two-part movie series. One would think that Marvel's street-level heroes would be included in such a massive ensemble cast.
