An E3 2013 demo of "Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII" is available for download, giving gamers an inside look in the upcoming Square Enix title.
However, the just released demo is only available for Japan's PSN members or Japan gold account holders for the Xbox 360, according to Siliconera.com. The single-player demo features Lightning as fights Zaltys, a dragon boss she takes down early in the game. Several screenshots of the demo have made it onto social media sites such as Twitter and Facebook.
The demo also features a special costume for Lightning called the Loveable Moogle Style, which comes with the Moogle Queen garb, Moogle Stick weapon, and Moogle Shield. (Click here for photos)
"Each costume is 400 yen ($4) or you can get all three for 1,000 yen ($10). Square Enix will release two more costume collections for Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII, one on December 17 and another on February 16, 2014. We'll have to wait until the game comes out on February 11, 2014 before any of these DLC packs come out," Silconera reported.
Fans of the "Final Fantasy" series can also look forward to the HD-remaster of "Final Fantasy X" and "Final Fantasy X-2", which will be released on March 18, 2014 in North America and March 21, 2014 in Europe.
"We have completely updated the Limited Edition Packaging with this gorgeous HD render of Tidus and Yuna, which I just absolutely fell in love with when I first saw this image. We also updated the concept artbook with Yoshitaka Amano's iconic image from Final Fantasy X and X-2. Why did we update it, you ask? It will all make sense later, I promise," Sakura Minamida, Senior Product Manager for Square Enix, wrote on the PlayStation Blog. (Read more about the HD-remaster here)
