Days after Rihanna dropped the music video for "Work" featuring Drake, the single became her 14th track to hit No. 1 on the Hot 100 singles chart, beating Michael Jackson's previously held record of 13 chart-topping hits, according to Billboard.
The Beatles are in first place with 20 No. 1s, closely followed by Mariah Carey, who has 18 chart-topping records to her name.
RiRi took to Twitter to express her excitement over the song's new No. 1 spot. "#WORK tops Billboard #Hot100!! Navy you killed it this week! #NavyRDie (sic)," she wrote.
Drake used Instagram to express his gratitude to Rihanna for one more No. 1 hit together. The duo delivered another chart-topping hit in 2010 with "What's My Name?"
"Two number ones and they are both cause of you...Midas Touch Riri. Thank you!!!" he captioned a still of himself and Rihanna from the "Work" music video.
The "Diamonds" singer is currently in London, where she will be performing at the BRIT Awards. There was a lot of speculation about whether or not the singer will go through with her set after she cancelled her Grammy performance and postponed her "Anti" tour.
However, co-host of the BRIT Awards, Ant, confirmed that RiRi had landed in the city and is expected to perform as scheduled, according to BANG Showbiz.
