Kate Middleton has reportedly fired her hairdresser. James Pryce who styled Middleton's hair for the royal wedding has been let go because of pictures he was using of the Duchess of Cambridge to promote his business.
According to The Telegraph, Pryce was asked to style Middleton's hair for her wedding to Prince William and also accompanied the royal couple on their tour of North America in 2011. Seven months after getting the high-profile gig Pryce reportedly quit his job at Richard Ward, where he got his start.
To make matters worse, the hairdresser tried to cash in on his success and began taking pictures of the Duchess and her different hairstyles and using the photos to help promote his own business.
"Where he went solo and tried to tour around the USA - he launched a Facebook page and Twitter account which featured hundreds of pictures of Kate and her various hairstyles to promote his business - obviously, that did not go down well with the Palace at all," the source said.
Pryce was able to find another job at Josh Wood Atelier in Holland Park but the source said he only works "three days a week." Middleton decided she would still get her hair done at Richard Ward.
"Richard Ward still cuts Kate's hair and she has her color done at the salon," a source said. "Plus, she has her stylist, Amanda Cook Tucker, who blow dries her hair for events, but James has really been pushed out."
The Duchess has an Australian tour coming up in 2014 and has reportedly hired Princess Diana's former hairdresser Joh Bailey to look after her locks.
Recently Middleton's hair was a topic of conversation after she was photographed with grey roots at London's Poppy Day celebration on Nov. 7. The mother-of-one was spotted with her hair parted down the middle instead of her usual side-part showing off her roots.
