Demi Moore is set to return to television in her first major TV role in over 20 years. The actress has signed on to star in a new drama called "10 Days in the Valley," according to Deadline.
The project comes from "Rookie Blue" co-creator Tassie Cameron and centers on Jane Sadler, the character that Moore will play. Jane is an overworked writer and a single mother who is in the middle of a messy separation. She must put everything on the line when her 4-year-old daughter is taken from her bed in the middle of the night, including her TV show, loyalties and her deepest and darkest secrets in order to get her child back, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
"10 Days in the Valley," marks the first time the 53-year-old actress will star in a TV series since she got her big break on the soap opera "General Hospital." The actress was on the show from 1981-1984 before she transitioned to the big screen in films like "St. Elmo's Fire" and "Ghost." The last time Moore was on TV was in 2003 as a guest star on the sitcom "Will & Grace." The mother of three's most recent film credits includes "Very Good Girls" and "Forsaken."
Cameron will serve as the writer, executive producer and showrunner on the new TV series, which is currently being shopped around to different networks, TV Guide reported.
