During the airing of the NBC special, "Must See TV: All-Star Tribute to James Burrows," the cast of "Friends" sat down together for a mini-reunion to discuss Burrows' work and what goes on behind-the-scenes. In one instance, Courteney Cox mentioned that the girls would always eat the "Jennifer salad" on the set of "Friends" and it became their ritual for lunch for ten years.
Cox shared the same tidbit about eating the salad in a 2010 interview. "We always had the same thing - a Cobb salad. But it wasn't really a Cobb salad. It was a Cobb salad that Jennifer doctored up with turkey bacon and garbanzo beans and I don't know what. She has a way with food, which really helps," the actress told Self.
In 2015, Jennifer Aniston posted a photo and the ingredients of her famous salad on the Living Proof Instagram account, where she is co-owner of the lifestyle site. "My perfect salad - Bulgar, cucumbers, parsley, mint, red onion, garbanzo beans, feta cheese, & pistachios," she wrote.
As for the salad's dressing, a Cobb salad typically includes a vinaigrette dressing made with red wine vinegar, lemon juice, Worcestershire, mustard, garlic, salt and pepper. But you can also try an avocado dressing or a blue cheese dressing, depending on your taste and preference.
