India thrashed Bangladesh by 45 runs in the Asia Cup opener on Wednesday night. Rohit Sharma's 83 runs off 55 balls guided India to a commendable total of 166 for six in twenty overs, according to bdnews24. Bangladesh, in reply, managed to score just 121 for seven wickets.
Pakistan, on the other hand, will be playing its first match of the Asia Cup.
"Coming after playing the Pakistan Super League straightaway, our preparation has been very good. There's no doubt India have performed very well in Australia and even [versus] Bangladesh yesterday, (but) I think it will be a great battle between two good teams," Pakistani all rounder Shoaib Malik said, according to India Today.
