A Netflix-like company offers to stream the latest theatrical releases to your home, for a hefty price tag. Prima Cinema sells set top boxes for $35,000 and allows the latest films to be rented for $500 each, according to International Business Times. The boxes can only be purchased from authorized dealers, and users must confirm their identity via fingerprint each time they want to buy a movie.
The films are downloaded to the box before screening to avoid any problems while watching, the New York Post explains. The company offers 3-D films for an extra $100 and has plans to release 4K and Dolby Immersive Sound features later this year for an extra $50,000.
Movies may even show up in Prima Cinema's list before they hit the theatres, The Daily Mail reports.
Some of the offerings from 2015 include "Jurassic World," 'Minions," "Fifty Shades of Grey" and "Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2," according to Reuters.
