Take cover! Kanye West has launched another attack on Twitter. His latest rant comes in response to the electronic artist Joel Zimmerman, best known as Deadmau5, who called out West for browsing the piracy website The Pirate Bay, possibly to illegally download Xfer Records Serum, a digital synthesizer.
West retaliated by mocking Zimmerman's headdress, which resembles the iconic Disney character, Mickey Mouse. He requested the artist to perform at his daughter North West's birthday party wearing "specifically a Minnie mouse dead-mow-five head... not a mickey mouse dead-mow-five head."
North loves Minnie Mouse and West warned that he's "very detail oriented" and would know if he threw a bow on his normal headdress. The "Famous" rapper also teased Zimmerman if his future bride would have to wear a "giant Minnie mouse head" and then asked him to give a performance in the Minnie Mouse head to stream on TIDAL.
On Tuesday night, West posted a screenshot of his browser open to the new Sufjan Steven's song "Death with Dignity" on YouTube. Zimmerman then noticed two other tabs opened that showed West browsing "Xfer Records Serum t..." and "Pirate Bay Torrent Xfe..." and questioned whether the 38-year-old performer had to illegally download the music software that cost $189.
"What the f-k @kanyewest... Can't afford serum? Dick," Zimmerman tweeted. He then suggested starting a Kickstarter for West to purchase Serum. "He needs a small loan of 200$ #prayforyeezy."
Someone later set up a GoFundMe page for the cause, but it has since been deleted.
The battle between the artists comes on the heels of West's latest album "The Life of Pablo" getting leaked on The Pirate Bay. He is reportedly going to meet with his lawyers to discuss possible legal action against the torrent side, but his team has yet to pursue any potential lawsuit.
"The Life of Pablo" is only available for legal download on TIDAL. The album was also uploaded for streaming on Pornhub, but the adult website complied with a DMCA takedown request from West's team and disabled the content.
