The 100th Episode of "The Good Wife" gave us quite a few surprises and laughs. Here are the four things we learned from Sunday's episode:
No. 1-Kalinda has a new girlfriend - or girl that she's using
When we begin the 100th episode Kalinda is tailing Damian as Diane instructed her. Damian eventually finds out he's being followed (if he didn't know all along) and decides to have a little fun with Kalinda. As they're racing around town Damian got his friend, Det. Jenna Villette played by Jordana Spiro, to pull Kalinda over and arrest her. As Kalinda is sitting in the back of the cop car, Jenna tells her to charm her way out of the arrest. Kalinda tells a joke and a few scenes later they're in bed together.
No. 2-Matthew Ashbaugh loved writing wills
The lawsuit in this episode put Matthew Ashbaugh's daughter, one beneficiary of his will, against another beneficiary of another Will Aschbaugh wrote-Alicia. However, more importantly, it put Alicia against Will. Throughout the course of the trial Alicia and Will have many flashbacks to their time as lovers-causing what seemed to be pain and nostalgia. Eventually the trial came to Will's call of Alicia as a witness. Will used a conversation he and Alicia had while having sex during Season 4, in which she admitted Aschbaugh was in love with her and she could use that influence to make him sign a will. (He was trying to prove Alicia could have influenced Ashbaugh to write the second will.) When Will asked Alicia in the present if she used such influence against Ashbaugh, she admitted she did. Unfortunately, for Will, Alicia also admitted her influence was used for the will written for Aschbaugh's daughter. Oh, and to make matters worse for LG she was instructed to do so - by David Lee. As it turns out neither of the wills written for Alicia or Ashbaugh's daughter were ruled valid. Will discovered Ashbaugh had written multiple wills putting down other women as beneficiaries, making none of the wills valid. The will written for Alicia would have given her $12 million and a charity $12 million dollars.
No. 3-Peter is in the running for a higher position
Florrick & Agos had a Christmas party and the guest list contained someone who wouldn't be the ideal person for Peter, the Governor of Illinois, to be seen with. Therefore, Eli sets up a meeting during Alicia's party with Donna Brazile, a lady who has influence when it comes to seeking candidates for high positions in Washington. Eli's plan fails since Peter actually takes Donna to the party. Fortunately for Eli, the man he was afraid would attend (Colin Sweeny, someone accused of killing his wife) did not attend. Unfortunately, Lemond Bishop - a huge drug lord - does attend. To make matters worse he and Peter have an unexpected chat about the possibility of charity work.
No. 4-Marilyn's baby has an interesting name
Marilyn spent the entire episode wearing a baby surround sound system so the baby could hear classical music. At the party, Alicia's mother Veronica asks where music is coming from and Marilyn explains. She tells Veronica it's a boy and the name:
"Peter"
Eli does a spit take.
