J.K. Rowling is the author that just keeps giving to her fans. The woman who gifted the world with the "Harry Potter" series announced she will publish four all-new stories on Pottermore called "The History of Magic in North America." The four stories will concentrate on the North American Wizarding School Ilvermorny, the Salem Witch Trials, a group called Skin-Walkers who are tied to Native Americans and the Magical Congress of the United States of America and will premiere on Pottermore at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, March 8.
The original seven "Harry Potter" books concentrated on the Wizarding World in the United Kingdom, but these four new features will explore the history of magic in North America, the setting for the upcoming film "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them." The film, which was written by Rowling, will transport Potter fans to New York City in the 1920s and will introduce them to a new hero named Newt Scamander. Little is known about the history of wizards and witches in North America, but the purpose of the new stories are to educate fans before the "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" release date in November 2016.
A promotional video for the four stories about the history of magic in North America was released on Monday morning and teased the upcoming information that Rowling is set to reveal.
