Amanda Bynes Leaves Rehab: Actress Relocates to Parents' House, Hopes to Attend College as Fashion Design Student

Amanda Bynes has left rehab and was relocated to her parents' Los Angeles home. Her lawyer Tamar Arminak confirmed the news to People magazine.

"Amanda and her entire family would like to thank everyone who's contacted them with good thoughts and wishes for Amanda's recovery," Arminak said. "Amanda has completed her inpatient rehabilitation and she's feeling better every day."

The 27-year-old actress was placed under an involuntary psychiatric hold and hospitalized after she started a small fire in the driveway at a home in Thousand Oaks, Calif. Prior to the incident Bynes had been displaying strange behavior and was attacking celebrities on Twitter, was seen wandering around New York City wearing different wigs and allegedly threw a bong out the window of her 36th floor Manhattan apartment.

The former child actress was taken to UCLA Medical Center and later moved to a rehabilitation facility in Malibu. Arminak told People that even though Bynes was released from the facility the actress will continue to go to an outpatient program.

She's very happy to reestablish the loving relationship with her family that she once shared," her lawyer said adding that Bynes has been considering going to college to study fashion design.

"She's now looking at various colleges with the intention of majoring in fashion design," Arminak said. "She's mentioned before she's interested in creating a clothing line."

The "She's All That" actress did have her own clothing line back in 2007 to mixed reviews. According to the Hollywood Reporter she collaborated with Steve & Barry's for the quirky, youthful line. It featured t-shirts, jeans and pullovers with farm animal logos and all the pieces were under $20.

Armink confirmed the magazine that Bynes' mother, Lynn Bynes will have complete control over the actress' finances and well-being while she recovers.
