There's a new romance happening on "Scandal." A source revealed to E! News that the show will introduce a new love interest for one of the characters but the relationship is being kept under wraps.
"One lucky lady is getting a new love interest, y'all!" E! writes. "We're not going to tell you who will be romanced but we will tell you that Andrew is handsome, charismatic and extremely intelligent."
Hmmm, so which one of our leading ladies will be swooning over the new man in her life? TV Line is reporting that Mellie, who is married to Fitzgerald Grant aka the President of the United States, could have herself a new lover. And that kind of makes sense.
Olivia Pope still hasn't moved on from President Grant, Abby has a thing going on with David Rosen and Quinn is probably the last person worried about a boyfriend after being sneakily tricked into joining B613. Not to mention in a sneak peek of this week's (Dec. 5) episode she comes face-to-face with Huck after he discovers that she's been recruited into the secret group.
Fans of the show already know that Mellie and President Grant don't have the most loving relationship. The two barely like each other and POTUS has been fooling around with Olivia since season 1.
"If my hunch is correct (tee-tee, when isn't it?), the new fortysomething character the show is currently casting - a handsome, charismatic fella named Andrew - will be keeping company with Bellamy Young's love-starved FLOTUS," TV Line writes.
There hasn't been much information revealed about Andrew but there are rumors that "Grey's Anatomy" alum Jeffrey Dean Morgan will play the new hottie. According to E! he will first appear in episode 11.
"Scandal" airs Thursday nights at 10 p.m. on ABC.
