In a strange turn of events, Caitlyn Jenner seems to be more open to the idea of Hillary Clinton now that she has met the Democratic presidential candidate. During a recent teaser for her hit reality show "I Am Cait," Jenner spoke highly of Donald Trump and had some not-so-nice things to say about Clinton. She even went as far as saying that "If Hilary becomes president, the country is over."
But on Monday night, the 66-year-old reality star took to Twitter and Instagram to share a photo of her and Clinton alongside some friends, including actress Candis Cayne, who has already endorsed Clinton.
Jenner, who has been a Republican her entire life, captioned the photo using two hashtags, "#learningfrommygirls" and "#willingtolisten."
As a transgender woman and someone who always speaks out for the LGBT community, her fellow transgender followers and advocates were shocked when she said she supported Ted Cruz, defended Trump and slammed Clinton.
Even though Jenner said in the clip that she wasn't a fan of Trump's "macho attitude," she did say explain why she thinks the Republican candidate would be good for the country. "I think he would have a hard time with women, when he doesn't even realize it. It doesn't mean he wouldn't be good for women's issues," she added. "I think he would be very good for women's issues. I don't think he's out there to destroy women or take things away or do any of that stuff."
She then explained how she would "never, ever, ever vote for Hillary" and went on to call her a "f--king liar" and a "political hack."
As for Cruz, earlier this month Jenner revealed in an interview that she "likes" Cruz, who once said that the movement for equal treatment among transgender students is "lunacy."
"I think he's very conservative, and a great constitutionalist, and a very articulate man," Jenner explained. "I haven't endorsed him or anything like that. But I also think, he's an evangelical Christian, and probably one of the worst when it comes to trans issues...Wouldn't it be great, let's say he goes on to be president and I have all my girls on a trans issues board to advise him on making decisions when it comes to trans issues. Isn't that a good idea?"
She then even admitted that she would like to become Cruz's "trans ambassador" if he were to become president. "Yes, trans ambassador to the president of the United States," she added. "So we can say, 'Ted, love what you're doing but here's what's going on.'"
