Khloé Kardashian Discusses Racism With Tia Mowry-Hardrict In 'Kocktails With Khloé' Sneak Peek [VIDEO]

Khloé Kardashian and her guest, former "Sister Sister" star Tia Mowry-Hardrict, discuss whether they believe racism is still an issue in America during the Wednesday night episode of the reality star's FYI late night talk show "Kocktails with Khloé." The ladies open up and share personal instances where they both have experienced racism against interracial marriages.

Mowry-Hardrict, who stars in her own Cooking Channel show "Tia Mowry At Home," stopped by the set of the "Keeping up with the Kardashians" star's new hit show. The ladies sat around Kardashian's kitchen set and sympathized with each other about the prejudice they faced because they each are involved in interracial marriages.

"Some people say that I am in an interracial relationship even though my husband is black and I'm black," Mowry-Hardrict explains, mentioning her actor hubby Cory Hardrict. "But I'm mixed, so I'm black and I'm white, and my husband's black. But to be honest with you, a lot of people don't want to believe that racism still exists."

She goes on to explain a situation that happened to her parents. Mowry-Hardrict's father is white and her mother is black. She shares details about a situation that happened to her parents when she was younger that will always stand out to her as an instance where they experienced racism first-hand.

"We were buying a house," Mowry-Hardrict recalls, "and it was this affluent neighborhood. My mom went into kind of like the stage home to get an application, and they said, 'Oh, I'm sorry, we're sold out.' Then my mom sent in my dad who is white, and I will say, my mom now has that house. So I do believe that it still exists."

Mowry-Hardrict asks Kardashian if she ever experienced something like that in her past, and she shares an anecdote about her estranged husband, former NBA pro Lamar Odom, and her late father, attorney Robert Kardashian.

"I was in an interracial marriage," Kardashian explains. "I would never think to have to say, 'Oh by the way, my husband's black so when he comes in, don't let your jaw drop.' When I moved to Dallas was the first that was thrown in my face. But also with dad, 'cause my dad defended O.J. in the O.J. trial, that's the first time I really experienced a ton of racism. We would get kicked out of restaurants because my dad was defending O.J., it was really intense. But yeah, racism is real."
